Barricade is a series of works composed of twelve to sixteen microphones arranged in a triangle, square or circular formation. The microphone cables lines the floor in formal composition, reflecting the path of transmitted sound. Each side from a barricade outputs the sound through a dedicated speaker. The spatial arrangement of the microphone stands act as both barrier and enabler as the performative space is compressed physically and sonically. Performer and performance are contained inside the borders of the triangle or square. Upon activation, through the separate speakers, filling the acoustic environment with resonant frequencies.
